Prerequisites

(previously registered for Concept and design 2 OR previously registered for Atelier Jewellery design & Gold- and Silversmithing 2 OR previously registered for Concept and design Jewellery Design and Silver- and Goldsmithing 2) AND to be taken together with Reflection/Communication.

Learning outcomes (list)

BA1 - The student has the necessary artistic skills to design and/or realize a personal project within the broad spectrum of the visual arts under supervision.
The student is able to synthesize the acquired knowledge, insights and skills.
The student is able to independently realize his aspirations as an autonomous artist / designer both on an artistic, substantive, technical and social level.

Course content

The knowledge and insights acquired in Bachelor 2 are further advanced.
By applying various methods and techniques, further research is done into a homogeneous plastic translation from the artistic terms of reference formulated by the student into a body of work. This is called the Bachelor project.
During this investigation process the student gradually develops a more personal angle, in thematic-visual level as well as in the concrete plastic implementation.

The student takes part in projects that are part of the curriculum: project weeks, exhibitions, study trips, lectures and other projects relevant to the programme.

The final evaluation will (partially) take place in an exhibition/presentation (the graduation exhibition), that will be open to the public after the moment of evaluation. This exhibition will take place in an external location, which is found by the students. This can cost some money. When receiving insufficient marks on the final evaluation, the student will not be allowed to take part in this graduation exhibition, their contribution to the group exhibition is then refunded.
