Short description

In the 3rd bachelor, the student learns to deal with the scenographic phenomenon: the impact of space on the theatrical moment.

The student learns to deal with three-dimensional spatial data; how can you strengthen a performance by intervening in the space, by adding, by omitting. How do you create monumentality, and how do you use lighting to enhance your space

Course content

Autonomous cooperation with a director/choreographer/artist/designer of a project in the broad field of performing arts, film, TV.
The student carries out one work placement in the professional field as assistant or work placement (NOT AS AUTONOMOUS DEVELOPER) (max; 180 days): theatre, film, TV, opera, musical, ballet, dance, figure theatre.
The collaboration with a director/choreographer/designer of a project can either be arranged by the student or proposed by clients working in the performing arts, film or TV themselves.
The students may in no case be engaged as (mere) EXPERIMENT of costumes, or as reinforcement of a costume workshop.
Collaborations with other performing arts programmes (including the conservatory, KASK Ghent, Ritsc Brussels, etc.) in which the student can develop artistically through collaboration with other disciplines in the performative arts are permitted.
