The student can work safely and in an orderly manner.

The student knows the basic techniques of working metal.

The student can do electric (BMBe) welding.

The student can work with the plasma cutter.

The student can drill into metal in a safe manner.

The student can saw metal in a safe way.

The student can use steel as a base material to build an interesting artistic process of their own.

Learning outcomes (list)

BA1 - The student has the necessary artistic skills to design and/or realize a personal project within the broad spectrum of the visual arts under supervision.
The student can correctly and artistically apply the possibilities and techniques of simple metalworking.
BA2 - The student has the necessary knowledge, skills and insights regarding material, form, action, concepts, function and contents of the chosen medi
The student can use the basic principles of TIG welding.
The student can work with a Mig / Mag welding machine.

Course content

-Basic TIG welding

-Basic semi-automatic welding

-The student learns to process metal in his/her own artistic process

-The student learns to think constructively about the material.

Study material (text): Mandatory

The student works primarily with steel. The student can use other materials combined with steel.

(Paper, cardboard, wood, clay , wax, non-ferrous metals , paint, ... )

The students are handed digital examples of metal sculptures.
