Short description

The student mainly learns technically how to make a model, inspired on the one hand by international examples of theatre/installation scenographies, and strong photographic images from reality. The students learn to deal with dimensions and proportions in a model

Learning outcomes (list)

The student is able, at beginners level, to convert scaled measures and can construct a model.
The student can, at beginners level, convert reality into a scale model and knows the materials that can be used for this.

Course content

Initiation into the phenomenon of scenography: what is set design, and how does it relate to costume design; Introduction to the workings of theatre technique Possibilities within a contemporary theatre technique, and limitations of a small-scale theatre, or a travelling performance Technique for producing a scenography to scale, and the study of the small in relation to the large.
