Learning outcomes (list)

1.1 The student masters the representative repertoire for his or her discipline.
The student can give an overview of the most important composers, works and recordings which are relevant to his or her instrument and can place these in an historical, socio-cultural and technical musical context.
1.2 The student can make music in various styles.
The student can put together a thematised concert programme for his or her instrument.
2.1 The student masters the musical parameters and structures.
The student can describe (historical) recordings relevant to his or her instrument in an analytical way using the musical parameters.
2.3 The student reads, analyses, writes and interprets music.
The student can critically analyse an edition of a score in terms of performance practice and can situate this in an historical context.
2.4 The student masters the correct playing techniques and postures.
The student can analyse acoustic principles in terms of his or her own instrument.
The student can describe from an analytical and functional point of the view the construction of the instrument, its technical playing properties and the consequences of these for the body's mobility.
4.1 The student has knowledge of the broader cultural and (musical) historical context.
The student can give an overview of the history and family of the instrument.
The student can critically analyse an edition of a score in terms of performance practice and can situate this in an historical context.
