Learning outcomes (list)

2.3 The student can process musical structures through analysis and interpretation.
The student develops various systems of analysis and applies them.
The student can independently use his or her knowledge and understanding of the primary and secondary parameters and forms and structures in terms of research and can link these to the skills required for the master's dissertation.
4.1 The student has extensive knowledge of the broader cultural and (musical) historical context and can use this in his or her artistic practice.
The student can apply his or her acquired understanding of cultural and musical (historic) context and can combine this with the skills and knowledge of the course unit, Analysis.
4.2 The student has acquired a critical and inquiring attitude.

Course content

Crucial in the course is the search for deeper connections and a correct understanding of the notated music; in this way, tools are provided that can lead to a meaningful interpretation and appreciation of a score.
