01: Daily Operation: Acts from a current knowledge of the hospitality industry and assumes responsibility for the proper daily operation of their own department.
The student will interpret the responsibilities of and interrelationships among hotel employees

The student will gain an understanding of the operational front office and housekeeping activities within various types of hotels

The student will describe various reservation channels and the role of front office information and GDS systems within the overall reservation process

The student interprets the importance of internal and external lines of communication from Front Office and Housekeeping

02: Organize, coordinate and evaluate department-specific activities: Organizes department-specific hospitality activities and coordinates and evaluates their implementation.
The student will describe common check-in and check-out procedures

The student chooses appropriate activities within the reception department on the basis of a case study

The student will gain insight into the basic principles of the front office module of a Property Management System and process data related to front office activities in the OPERA PMS Front Office System.

04: Inform and advise guests/customers: Informs and advises guests/customers, taking into account their individual wants and needs and using appropriate sales techniques.
The student manages guest profiles and reservations through OPERA

The student will present step-by-step solutions to potential problems with guests

The student analyzes hotel room rates and explains them in their own words

07: Work professionally and apply safety regulations: Acts in accordance with hygiene, maintenance, safety and other applicable legislation and ensures compliance within own department.
The student will prepare a work instruction for the housekeeping department, taking into account ergonomic aspects
