Learning outcomes (list)

01: Daily Operation: Acts from a current knowledge of the hospitality industry and assumes responsibility for the proper daily operation of their own department.  
The student applies current events to the field of lodging management. 
The student applies the hospitality model to a lodging facility. 
The student recognizes different forms of batting and knows the specific differences. 
The student situates functions of a Rooms Division department and of other departments in an organizational chart. 
The student will describe and explain the duties of managerial and executive staff in a Rooms Division department and in other departments. 
The student will know the SOPs of the front desk and reservations department.
The student explains and applies professional terms in English that are common in the international hotel industry
04: Inform and advise guests/customers: Informs and advises guests/customers, taking into account their individual wants and needs and using appropriate sales techniques. 
The student recognizes problems with guests and handles them correctly. 
05: Rental/sales department mapping and lifelong learning: Mapped the rental/sales of products and services within own department. Based on developments in their own field, limited market studies, an assessment of the demand and desires of their intended guests/customers, and the set objectives, the graduate makes adjustments in consultation with management.
The student calculates a selling price and costs in a Rooms Division 
The student will know the operation of a channel manager, distribution channels and international reservation systems. 
The student will calculate the occupancy, average price, revpar and yield (KPIs)of an accommodation. 
The student applies revenant management. 
The student will analyze and interpret a hotel's KPIs and establish a budget. 
The student will know the different possibilities of up selling and cross selling. 
10: Contribute to human resources management, coaching and training department: Contributes to the management of human resources and the coaching and training of employees and trainees within own department.  
The student will calculate the minimum staffing requirements and prepare a staffing plan (hourly schedule).
