Course content

In Drawing 1, the focus is on knowledge of material and drawing skills. Analytical observation, experimentation and introduction to different visual elements are in focus here. Various methods and techniques are covered.

- Through initiations and workshops, students learn about different materials. Various methods and and techniques are covered.
- The student is introduced to the different visual elements: line, point, plane, composition, colour, structure, texture, tonality, contrast, shape, space, light, atmosphere,...
- Exploring the environment and drawing by observation. Looking, observing and analytical observation are connected with investigation of interpretive representation.
- Through experimentation, the student learns to explore the possibilities of material and technique.
- The student explores the rich diversity of the medium, from sketch and droedel to autonomous drawing.
- The student starts collecting sources of inspiration
