Prerequisite competencies (text)

- showing intrest in contemporary art, other innovative social developments  and the specific fashion field - the student shows his/her enthusiasm in acquiring kwowledge of the fashion field/program  - the student is passionate about the chosen studyprogramme and discipline. An empetus to formulate critical view.  Knowledge of the basic principles of design, conceptualization and representation/imaging.  The student shows great imagination while developing the assignment.

Learning outcomes (list)

BA1 - The student has the necessary artistic skills to design and/or realize a personal project within the broad spectrum of the visual arts under supervision.
The student can develop a concept based on in-depth analysis and processing of research material and translate this into personal and innovative fashion designs.
The student is able to develop a balanced design with a strong line.
The student is able to work in a process-based way.
BA2 - The student has the necessary knowledge, skills and insights regarding material, form, action, concepts, function and contents of the chosen medi
The student has a basic knowledge of the principles of fashion design (lines, proportion, rhythm, balance, relation to body, body versus movement).
The student can present concepts and designs via graphic and digital image techniques.
BA4 - The student develops and sharpens his/her critical and investigative attitude towards designs and/or realizations that arise from visual experiments and research, emotion and intuition.
The student is able to collect research material through various information sources and can rearrange the results personally and creatively.

BA5 - When developing his/her personal visual language the students starts from a searching and reflective attitude when developing one's own visual language.

Course content

During the evaluation of the collection at the “final fitting (pas)” a selection is made by the jury members with regard to the presentation on the catwalk. A different style of presentation can be mutually agreed upon.- Individual research on various themes and concept development as basis for own designs - Design assignments of skirt, dress and experimental piece to be carried out in training course coupe 1 - Working out sketchbooks and other presentation material: research/concept/design visualisation

During the evaluation of the collection work on the "final pass", a selection is made by the jury members in connection with the presentation on the catwalk. In consultation, another form of presentation can be chosen.
