Learning outcomes (list)

BA2 - The student has the necessary knowledge, skills and insights regarding material, form, action, concepts, function and contents of the chosen medi
The student has acquired basic knowledge concerning the operation of a computer and peripheral equipment, the use of internet, e-mail, and a number of specific graphic programs and their characteristics (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator; Indesign).
The student has technical knowledge about the scanning of an image, the image size, resolution and the different digital formats.
The student has insight into converting an image to a format that is suitable for specific purposes (for sending an image via e-mail, for website, for digital printing and for professional printing).
The student can use the process (research, analysis and creative processing) within fashion and textile prognosis to apply a personal concept, design it graphically and process it using digital techniques.

Course content

- Basic technical knowledge of computer peripherals and programs - using principles of scanner, printer and digital camera - exploration of creative possibilities of computer - applications of digital techniques: scanning images, importing photographic material and processing it - building a workbook as research for the final presentation - presentation of instructions from fashion and textile forecasting using digital techniques
