Learning outcomes (list)

BA1 - The student has the necessary artistic skills to design and/or realize a personal project within the broad spectrum of the visual arts under supervision.
The student can choose a pattern by comparing existing patterns and by forming an image of the intended end result
The student is able to realise his/her own design by analyzing and molding basic patterns of existing clothing.
BA2 - The student has the necessary knowledge, skills and insights regarding material, form, action, concepts, function and contents of the chosen medi
The student can detect relationships within a two-dimensional image and translate these into a three-dimensional image.
The student has developd his/her technical skills and knowledge.
BA4 - The student develops and sharpens his/her critical and investigative attitude towards designs and/or realizations that arise from visual experiments and research, emotion and intuition.
The student can critically assess the assignment (in terms of form, line, volume, execution and finish).
BA5 - When developing his/her personal visual language the students starts from a searching and reflective attitude when developing one's own visual language.
The student has devolep a constant alertness to innovations and changes concerning the technical framework of the discipline.
BA7 - The student is able to organize his/her artistic project in consultation with others.
The student can look up, read and interpret existing patterns, partly independently, partly under supervision.

Course content

- Learning to take measurements and applying them to the pattern. - technical exercises; looking up the pattern, making a cutting pattern, cutting and stitching of slits, wristbands, pockets, buttonholes, exercises on frowning, inserting zips - making a blazer vest starting from a basic pattern - models, toiles, pattern studies and modelling experiments, as a basis for the three-dimensional elaboration of the collection - technical elaboration and artistic interpretation in 3D of 5 silhouettes
