Learning outcomes (list)

BA7 - The student is able to organize his/her artistic project in consultation with others.
The student can estimate how his / her own achievements in the technical / content area in their own work relate to the knowledge / skills that a professional photographer must have.

Course content

Taking up an internship that focuses on field experience. Engaging in one or more photography-related projects, in the field of visual arts or as an assisitant of a photographer or artist.
Minimum participation of 70 hours. The acquired skills and information are to be processed into a paper.
This report should, depending on the workplace,include the following aspects:
- Description of the practical elements, problems and solutions associated with the project (can also include: discussions with the advertising agency, the customer ... to reach a, editing and archiving.  business agreement, research and testphase of a project, location hunting. contacts and casting of models in different modeling agencies, finding and briefing of and set-dressers, stylists, makeup artists ..., processing images in the lab, enumerating printing techniques and materials and clarifying the selected output, digital workflow, image manipulation, editing and archiving.
- Sketches of installations (light, model, camera position, attributes, previews for digital operations)
- Personal conclusion and evaluation of the project
Self-employed creatives or companies among such as the following qualify:
- Photographers (art studio, reportage, fashion, jewelry, theater)
- Film crews
- Photo studios and labs
- Advertising and graphic design agencies
- Companies that are directly related to the finishing and presenting photos
- All kinds of art projects, galleries, museums related with visual imagery
