Learning outcomes (list)

BA7 - The student is able to organize his/her artistic project in consultation with others.
The student is able to analyze his specific professional market and determine his own position as a starter.
The student can formulate a USP and knows how a strategic plan can be elaborated based on a long-term mission and vision and resulting in concrete short-term actions.
The student is able to budget his / her plans and also learns to achieve better results in negotiation.)

Course content

In this course we prepare ourselves to start out our professional career in the arts. We analyse our market and try to find our own position as a market entrant. We learn to formulate our personal unique selling proposition (USP), and go through the different aspects of making a strategic plan: writing a mission and vision, considering our values and ethics, working out concrete actions. We focus also on the financial part of being an artist, and learn some tips and tricks to become more successful in (commercial) negotiation.

Students are expected to be present during classes. Absences can have a negative impact on your study results.
