Short description

initiation into the phenomenon of scenography: what is set design, and how does it relate to costume design; Introduction to the functioning of theater technology Possibilities within a contemporary theater technique, and limitations of a small-scale theater, or a travel performance.

Learning outcomes (list)

BA1 - The student has the necessary artistic skills to design and/or realize a personal project within the broad spectrum of the visual arts under supervision.

Course content

-The students get an introduction to the technical data of a modern equipped theatre, on the one hand by taking a technical tour on the stage of a theatre, on the other hand by learning to read a scene plan, and technical sheet.
The students get:
-instruction on converting measurements to scale and making a model
-instruction on converting reality to scale, and the materials that can be used to do this
-gain insight into theatrical forms that can support or reinforce an image
