Learning outcomes (list)

The student can critically analyse an edition of a score in terms of performance practice and can situate this in an historical context.
4.1 The student has knowledge of the broader cultural and (musical) historical context.
The student can historically situate an organ work according to its style and genre: - German organ music from the 19th to the 20th centuries: tendencies and experiments.

The student can manage historical sources relating to resigtration practice.
4.3 The student reflects critically on him- or herself and his surroundings.
The student can put together a thematised concert programme using the organ available. This implies, amongst other things: suitable choice of repertoire, stylistic handling of the chosen repertoire or the repertoire to be studied on a specific instrument.

Course content

Read the vade mecum Key instrument.
Collective lessons and exercises on the basic repertoire as provided in the undergraduate organ course. Curriculum is spread over 3 years and are taught cyclically.
