Learning outcomes (list)

1.1 The student masters the representative repertoire for his or her discipline.

Course content

Read the vademecum.
The annual programme will be determined in consultation with the main teacher.

* Scales (Gr. Ttl. - Kl. Harm. Ttl. all scales)
* J.S. Bach: Inventions, Sinfonia, Prelude & Fugues (Wohltemperierte Klavier I & II)
* Further development of polyphony
* Studies MI * Studies MII * Studies MIII
* Further development of the contemporary repertoire
* Further attention to articulation & touché (finger, bellow articulation) in its most detailed form.
* Development of memory play.

* Individual lessons
* Class lessons (here we work with all students together, around a theme. These lessons have mainly a technical content).
* week-long workshop (during the project week (mid-March), we do a week-long extracurricular workshop where we work/study day in day out mainly in groups on chamber music, playing together, how to study, technical essentials, etc.)
* Extracurricular concerts (minimum 5 per academic year. These usually take place in various music academies in Flanders. During these concerts, there is room for solo work, chamber music & ensemble).
* Masterclass (these are given by accordionists (foreign) of international reputation)
* Concert visits
* collective moments: annual visit to music publishers specialising in the accordion, workshops on subjects related to our instrument, visits to museums, etc.
