Learning outcomes (list)
After expert preparation, the graduate independently carries out standardized electromechanical maintenance, adjustment and repair work in a familiar field and under the supervision of a supervisor.
The student determines the labour and power of a moving (linear or rotary) object.
The student calculates the distance/ speed/ acceleration starting from data with linear, compound and rotary movements.
The student calculates the size and sense of a moment of couple judging by power(s) and geometry
The student calculates the tension (pull/ push/ slide or a combination) of loaded tool components
The student calculates the permitted tension in function of the way of pressure for the given type of material and compares this with the occurring tension.
The student calculates the torsion which occurs in beams and axis under pressure and compares these with a safe torsion.
The student chooses the appropriate profile based on a case with regard to bending with the help of schedules.
The student calculates units to SI-Units
The student compiles forces into their resultant and decomposes a force arithmetically and schematically.
The student applies the thermodynamic behaviour of open, closed and isolated systems and circuits to industrial processes.
The student dissects processes in which "energy" plays a role and makes the connection with processes in industry.
The student identifies the basic concepts (heat transfer & phase change) in heat theory.
The student calculates the heat transfer at phase transitions.
