Learning outcomes (list)

After expert preparation, the graduate independently carries out standardized electromechanical maintenance, adjustment and repair work in a familiar field and under the supervision of a supervisor.
The student substantiates the correct choice of a pump, compressor and/ or ventilator in function of an application.
The student explains the working principle of rotating mechanical equipment.
The student selects a sealing in function of the application.
The student lists the components of rotating mechanical equipment.
The student lists the application areas of rotating mechanical equipment.
The student determines the pressure distribution in a static fluid and the upward force exerted by the fluid on an object.
The graduate reads and interprets instructions, drawings, diagrams, descriptions, nameplate data and explanatory notes in which technical information is consulted in one foreign language.
The student looks up data of different types of rotating mechanical equipment and discusses the meaning of the data.
The graduate localizes, identifies and diagnoses malfunctions of technical installations, taking into account situational elements and/or maintenance history
The student sizes a system (pipe losses and diameter, pump and fan characteristics) in function of the type of application.
