Learning outcomes (list)

The associate reads and interprets electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic and aerological as well as simple P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) schemes and drawings and consults technical information, also in at least one foreign language.
The student names the most important parts of a heating installation.
The associate advises and informs users, and proposes improvements regarding use and function.
The student executes change of states of air processes using the Mollier diagram: air mixing, air heating, air cooling, air humidifying, air drying.
The student applies the cycle of summer and winter conditioning of air treatment technique using the Mollier diagram.
The student indicates all quantities and deduced quantities on the Mollier diagram.
The student calculates the real heat release of a heating system.
The student calculates the most important parts of the heating installation.
The student explains the most important points of interest and the properties of a heat generator (condensing boiler).
The student knows the most important physical and chemical properties of air.
The student executes design calculations by means of the given/required air technical specifications/ demands.
The student calculates the pressure losses in air channels.
The student designs and dimensions an air network.
