Learning outcomes (list)

You apply general theoretical logistical knowledge, analyze basic logistical processes and techniques, and assess the impact of the supply chain.
You can use Excel for logistics
You can make calculations concerning weight and volume in function of transport
You can check all completed documents and declarations related to customs operations
You can check the correctness of the documentation and (billing) data provided by the client/customer
You can check the customs documents against the real flow of goods (e.g. bill of lading)
You can verify that agreements with service providers/customers were met
You can verify that the driver and the truck/trailer have the necessary certificates and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to transportation
You can verify that the documents necessary for the assignment are present and do not contain errors
Based on the information provided by the customer,you can check the customs code and tariffs
You can collect the necessary information about the customer and the goods
You communicate orally and in writing in a professional manner in Dutch with internal and external stakeholders.
You can use the correct jargon in Dutch
You can exchange information with internal services, customs services/authorities
You use French and English operationally, both in writing and orally.
You can answer standard emails in English/French
You can read French/English language instructions and procedures and uses aids as needed
You can conduct a standard business telephone conversation in English/French
You solve operational problems within your own work context and contribute to the implementation of improvements aimed at enhancing effectiveness, efficiency, quality, safety, and environmental sustainability.
