Course content

Read the vademecum.
Students receive an intense training in Practical Harmony. Its content leans towards traditional aspects on the one hand: acquiring skills in chord playing, harmonising melodies, realising a basso continuo, score reduction, sight reading, theme with variations, transposition and improvisation. On the other hand, there remains room for a more integrated approach.
The theoretical and analytical understanding of music is linked to performance practice in this course unit. A selection is made from the range of possible working methods (read Vademecum).

Study material (text): Mandatory

Pieces from the student's own repertoire will be used.
