Learning outcomes (list)

1.1 The student independently broadens and explores repertoire related to his or her discipline.
The student creates music in a mature manner and develops his or her own engaging and original compositional language, conforming to international stylistic standards.

The student will explore a variety of diverse techniques including computer programs (DAW, Modular programming languages, live coding), hardware (controllers, microcontrollers, sensors, effects devices) and studio equipment (microphones, mixing boards, equalizers, compressors).

4.1 The student has extensive knowledge of the broader cultural and (musical) historical context and can use this in his or her artistic practice.
The student knows the history, start and evolution of electronic music and recording techniques by specific 20th century repertoire and knows the principal representatives and pioneers.
The student shows further deepening of practical knowledge and application of (digital) orchestration, hybrid scores, synthesis, audio editing and recording techniques, mixing, sampling techniques, film scoring, game scoring.
4.2 The student has acquired a critical and inquiring attitude.
The student demonstrates a critical and reflective attitude as regards him- or herself and the collaboration with the composition class.
4.3 The student can present orally and in writing the results of critical (self-)reflection.
