Learning outcomes (list)

OLR AF 7.2 - The bachelor BM/AF can communicate professionally, in spoken and written English, using the appropriate vocabulary in a professional context.
You exchange information with colleagues and give information to customers (verbally and in writing).
You produce a simple business text (mail, report...).
You produce a coherent text or write a clear report on topics that are familiar.
You give simple, well-prepared presentations on sector-specific topics and know how to build an appropriate, clearly understandable structure.
You understand documents, articles, reports and emails from your field.
You express yourself spontaneously and correctly in most formal situations and use the appropriate business terminology.
You know a deeper set of sector-specific vocabulary.
You correctly apply the grammar covered (such as adjective/adverbs, conditionals, passive, etc.).

Course content

  • Grammatical items: among others, passives, conditionals, adjectives, adverbs, quantifiers, phrasal verbs.
  • Thematic vocabulary from 'Select&Learn' textbook.
  • Current Affairs (news items focused on graduate studies).

At the end of this course unit you will reach CEFR level B1.
