Short description

La gestion du commerce de détail représente une activité bien particulière où les relations entre les différents fournisseurs peuvent être très tendues. C'est à la fois le monde des grands commerces de détail comme Aldi, Colruyt, Carrefour, Decathlon, MediaMarkt et à la fois les challengers qui sont souvent plus créatifs, plus originaux et meilleur marché dans leur approche.

Dans ce cours enseigné en français, vous alles découvrir ce secteur passionnant avec lequel presque tous les consommateurs ont un contact quotidien.

Learning outcomes (list)

OLR MAR 1.0 - The bachelor BM/MAR has insights in (digital) marketing strategies and tactics, market analysis, marketing communication and sales, in general corporate organisational processes as well as in their interconnection, and can consequently apply these insights in a broad, globalised and changing (inter)national context.
You will describe the retail environment from A to Z: from concept store to flagship store, from in-store marketing and integration of new media to visual merchandising and retail styling.
You will describe how and how quickly the retail industry must adapt to its multicultural environment and the challenges involved.
You will outline the aspects of good human resources and communications management within a retail environment.
You'll display the financial and organizational aspects of running a retail business.
You insightfully describe the key characteristics of the retail market.
You will expertly apply current insights in retail management to a case.
