OLR SCM 1.0 - The bachelor BM/SCM has insights in transport, in the streams and processes of goods and information, in the regulations of the logistics sector and in the general corporate organisational processes as well as in their interconnection, and can consequently apply these insights in a broad, globalised and changing (inter)national context.
You describe the role of ports in the maritime supply chain.
You will describe the importance of ports to the regional economy and that of Antwerp in particular.
You describe the role of the different actors in the Maritime supply chain
You distinguish the different cargotypes.
You will describe the relationships between the Maritime supply chain and hinterland transportation modes.
You explain the functions of a port authority and the operation of Port of Antwerp in particular.
You select the right partner from the port community.
You will accompany an order during its passage through the port.
You will describe the market forces of road, rail, multimodal transport and inland waterways.
You choose the appropriate form of transport starting from the aspects of road, rail, multimodal transport and inland navigation.
You will integrate the current and upcoming evolutions of blockchain in the management of international transports.
You describe the roles of the ship's agent and the water clerk.
You clarify the role of the various government representatives in the port community.
You describe the role of ICT in the port.
