Learning outcomes (list)

OLR SCM 1.0 - The bachelor BM/SCM has insights in transport, in the streams and processes of goods and information, in the regulations of the logistics sector and in the general corporate organisational processes as well as in their interconnection, and can consequently apply these insights in a broad, globalised and changing (inter)national context.
You will describe the different types of supplies using an actual case study.
You will provide an overview of the various storage methods, the associated internal transport equipment and order picking systems such as automated order picking, parcel handling and smart replenishment technology.
You improve warehouse operations, such as increasing efficiency, reducing errors, resolving delays, and optimizing schedules.
You calculate the space, vehicle, storage and personnel requirements of a warehouse.
You optimize warehouse management by deploying ICT and Warehouse Management System.
You will integrate the operation of a warehouse into the supply chain and its relationships with upstream and downstream actors.
You analyze the return of an investment through the appropriate method.
You calculate the operating costs of the different parts of a warehouse.
You will support the daily management of a medium or large warehouse and a small warehouse you can manage independently.
You indicate the practical applications of the different warehouse types.
You identify the requirements and KPIs for successful Warehouse Management.
