Prerequisites

having passed, or having a deliberated/tolerated mark for Communication training French AND having passed, or having a deliberated/tolerated mark for Communication training Dutch AND having passed, or having a deliberated/tolerated mark for Communication training English OR having passed, or having a deliberated/tolerated mark for Communication training English AND having passed, or having a deliberated/tolerated mark for WS1 Creative design (2PRV) AND having finished at least 60 ects credits in programme part (year) 1 AND having finished at least 40 ects credits in programme part (year) 2.

Learning outcomes (list)

You search through an appropriate search strategy and in relevant information sources for information regarding a communication topic or (self) formulated communication problem. You estimate the value of the found information, analyse it critically and present the core in a meaningful way for the purpose of communication advice.
You will conduct a thorough and in-depth desk research.
You will process analyzed complex information into a topic in a business journal.
You formulate a communication problem autonomously and participate in initiating, planning and carrying out applied research around communicators, channels, messages or receivers, starting from a defined assignment. You report on this to colleagues and lay people.
You will conduct thorough field research (including interview) and incorporate the information for content in a company magazine.
You devise and develop a creative visual concept or format. You have knowledge of image construction and master the basic techniques of photography, AV, layout and graphic design to create simple visual communication tools yourself. For more complex tasks, you will work efficiently with specialists.
You will create a company magazine and/or film based on a briefing using design and multimedia techniques in a targeted manner.
You will work with professionals to accomplish a complex AV product.
You write fluent, correct and well-structured Dutch-language informative and persuasive communication messages in which the angle, content, structure, choice of words and tone match the medium, the message and the target group.
You write correct informative texts from original perspectives for a company magazine with specific attention to the company's image.
You write fluent, targeted texts in several foreign languages.
You'll write professional articles/texts in almost flawless French and English.
You will draft mails, letters and briefings in flawless French and English.
You communicate and present fluently, target-group-oriented and professionally adequate in several foreign languages, while avoiding typical mistakes made by Dutch speakers.
You express yourself fluently and (almost) without mistakes in a foreign language and specific in a professional situation (meeting, negotiation, ...).
You can argue and defend your opinion in a nuanced way in multiple foreign languages.
You understand and use both written and audiovisual sources in languages other than Dutch.
You will incorporate the content of a foreign-language conversation or exposition into your own article, report, or account.
You can interpret the nuances of an English or French-language account and formulate and defend your own position on it.
