Learning outcomes (list)

CONCEPTUAL ANALYSIS
The student can motivate the choice of LED, basics, operands, addressing, tags, basic instructions (bit level) and system variables within an individual PLC applications/ assignment.
The student can name and explain the qualities and applications of a PLC in industrial installations and processes.
CONCEPT CHOICE
The student knows the possibilities and application of programmable machines for industrial facilities and processes.
The student can look up and select hardware components and apply them in a project.
The student can name and explain PLC-automation definitions.
DESIGN
The student can automate machines or processes, according to the imposed mode of action, drawing a function chart and convert it to a corresponding structured PLC program.
The student can easily apply the basic instructions and principles for drawing up a program for a programmable machine.
The student is able to design a pneumatic and hydraulic diagram on the basis of the requested requirements.
INSTALLATION
The student can use an operation manual to start and stop a system and programme it using logical instruction codes.
IMPROVING
The student can analyze solution-oriented automation problems and change them into a software programme using binary logics, timers, counters, comparison instructions and mathematical instructions.
