CONCEPT CHOICE
The student knows the basics of air treatment systems.
DESIGN
The student can make the connection between comfort, air quality and the building.
The student can perform numerical calculations based on given air properties.
The student can apply different air processes to achieve the desired air conditions.
The student is familiar with the basic principles of refrigeration systems.
INSTALLATION
The student is able to recognize and to map the various components of an air treatment group.
OPERATION
The student is able to establish the link between the refrigeration cycle in the log-pH diagram and the electrical power.
The student is able to identify the parameters that determine the energy consumption of an air handling unit.
IMPROVING
The student is able to improve practical installations (summer and winter climates) based on comfort and air treatment requirements using a Mollier diagram.
The student can represent the refrigeration cycle of a cooling system based on measurements in a log-pH diagram.
The student is able to measure and evaluate the energy consumption of all the components of an air group.
