Learning outcomes (list)

CONCEPTUAL ANALYSIS
The student can recognize different measurement principles and provide a comprehensive explanation of their functionality in the field of process industry.
CONCEPT CHOICE
The student knows the advantages, disadvantages, and limitations of various measurement principles in order to choose the appropriate type of sensor based on the application.
The student is able to use datasheets and tables to interpret measurement results.
DESIGN
The student is familiar with the various measurement principles used as "totalizers" for energy flow calculation purposes.
The student has an understanding of modern building management systems and the specific sensors used.
The student has knowledge of modern short-range and long-range communication protocols, specifically for IoT applications.
INSTALLATION
The student can convert measurement results into the measured process variables.
The student can look up and comply with installation conditions in terms of maintenance, fault analysis, or re-engineering purposes.
