Learning outcomes (list)

To express oneself orally correctly in Dutch, French and English and to adopt the appropriate attitude when making and maintaining journalistic contacts in order to function professionally in various (complex) journalistic work situations and contexts.
You use a foreign language (French/English) orally and in writing for journalistic purposes.
You'll conduct an extended critical interview in a foreign language.
You will provide accurate foreign language reporting on the spot.
You can selectively, critically and objectively acquire, analyse and double-check relevant information from various Dutch-speaking and non-Dutch-speaking (traditional, scientific and alternative) sources and information channels using an appropriate technique. This also in unfamiliar and complex contexts.
You apply complex research skills in an unfamiliar (foreign language) context.
You'll acquire journalistic information using oral and written skills in a foreign language (French/English).
Autonomously determine and evaluate relevant and appropriate topics and angles, taking into account the production objective, the target group, the medium, the news value and the reliability of the source.
You determine autonomously relevant and appropriate topics and angles to make news in an unfamiliar foreign-language context.
Combining and distributing information from various media (text/image/sound) across multiple media platforms within a cross-media context, using basic techniques such as photography, layout and graphic design. For complex photographic, layout or technical tasks and/or formats we work together with specialists.
You'll realize a cross-media journalism assignment in an international context involving on-the-spot reporting.
You bundle multimedia journalism products online.
You can deal appropriately with intercultural differences and have a cross-border, internationally oriented attitude.
You'll fulfill journalistic assignments in a foreign context.
You frame events and courses of action in an international context.
You approach a situation, issue or problem from multiple cross-cultural perspectives.
