Learning outcomes (list)

Creating smooth, error-free, well-structured (publishable/usable) Dutch-language journalistic formats (products) in which the content, structure, volume and tone of the end product fit the medium (print/tv/radio/web) and the target group.
You'll create full-fledged (cross-media) longreads under supervision and based on your own research.
You can selectively, critically and objectively acquire, analyse and double-check relevant information from various Dutch-speaking and non-Dutch-speaking (traditional, scientific and alternative) sources and information channels using an appropriate technique. This also in unfamiliar and complex contexts.
You'll prepare a practically useful research dossier.
Process collected information via the necessary medium-specific skills into a broadcastable audiovisual or auditory product in which the content, structure and tone fit the journalistic genre, format and target group.
You make and edit audio and video recordings in a real context
Combining and distributing information from various media (text/image/sound) across multiple media platforms within a cross-media context, using basic techniques such as photography, layout and graphic design. For complex photographic, layout or technical tasks and/or formats we work together with specialists.
You publish text and images in the requested layout.
Continuing to function effectively under high time or work pressure by efficiently organising and planning journalistic activities and correctly assessing the consequences of (own) decisions and actions. Following up activities, tasks and agreements correctly, taking into account deadlines, and proceeding systematically when analysing non-confidential complex problems.
You independently plan and organize your own work.
Analysing personal learning needs and actively seeking opportunities to enrich one's own competencies on one's own initiative. Thinking critically about your own actions and products and being open to adjustment. Being solution-oriented in order to bring assignments to a successful conclusion without frequent help. Entrepreneurial spirit. Follow up current events and trends. Making choices to specialise in certain aspects or sub-areas of the profession.
You specialize in a particular theme (sports, culture, lifestyle, human interest).
