Learning outcomes (list)

Communicates, reports, presents and argues in an efficient and effective way in Dutch within the confines of his/her business context;
The student applies the Dutch spelling and grammar rules correctly.
Understands law fields and aspects most relevant to the business world; he/she can resolve less complex practical problems within these fields.
he student summarizes the essence of the judgment comprehensibly, clearly structured and in a legally correct (writing) manner.
Systematically makes use of professional business sources and critically interprets the derived information before acting upon it;
The student distills the legal question from higher case law (Cass, GwH, RvS)
The student performs research work, uses digital legal databases and distills the relevant legal doctrine and case law from them.
Substantively supports the law professionals (bailiffs, notaries public, magistrates, barristers, solicitors,…)
The student writes an annotation (note) under a judgment of the higher courts.
The student writes a legal text (notice of default, petition, summons, conclusion, ...) and uses a writing style that is also easy to read for a non-lawyer.
The student defines the relevant legal question in the elaboration of a short annotation, which is scientifically substantiated with Belgian, European and/or international regulations, case law, and this in a correct manner (in accordance with the PAV principle and the Q&A rules) and refers to the consulted and processed legal sources.
he student makes connections between similar sources and theories, or opposing viewpoints and processes these in a coherent way.
