(previously registered for Law of persons and family law/4) AND (previously registered for Family property law OR to be taken together with Family property law).

Learning outcomes (list)

Is customer focused. The business professional acts in the interest of the customer;
The student gives an opinion on estate planning .
The student gives an advice on the content and form of a will.
Understands law fields and aspects most relevant to the business world; he/she can resolve less complex practical problems within these fields.
The student describes the position of a general and special legatee.
The student describes the difference in legal status between the married and the cohabitants (legal or factual).
The student can make connections between laws of succession and related matters as the tax consequences of estate planning.
Systematically makes use of professional business sources and critically interprets the derived information before acting upon it;
The student correctly applies the legal rules regarding Family Property Law when dissecting and assessing a legal question with .b regarding family property law.
Prepares, handles and follows up, independently or as part of a team, legal case/files within the confines of applicable regulations, procedures and guidelines within the para-legal profession.
The student can independently settle inheritances , even in less common family situations.
Substantively supports the law professionals (bailiffs, notaries public, magistrates, barristers, solicitors,…)
The student can put together a fictitious mass and proceed to the contribution and reduction.
