Prerequisites

(having passed, or having a deliberated/tolerated mark for Surveying Practice3+4 A AND having passed, or having a deliberated/tolerated mark for Estate law3) AND to be taken together with Surveying Practice5.

Learning outcomes (list)

Stake out fields and draw up and sign plans that are used for identifying boundaries, alterations, settling cases of common land and for any deed or official report that provide for the identification of land ownership and that can be submitted by way of
The student can identify existing or newly easements on the field and / or describe them correctly, and display them on his plan
The student can infer the location of a boundary from legal presumptions and / or after interpretation and implementing old plans
Students can distinguish claims related to the demarcation and implement the various procedures for demarcation.
The student can, according to the current standards and practices, prepare a survey plan and formulate correctly reports of measurement, demarcation ... .
Respect the relevant deontological codes, show responsibility and demonstrate a pronounced ethical, critical and deontological reflection regarding own actions and acts of others.
The student acts in accordance with the ethics and can assess the liability of the expert and the consequences
The student can implement the rules of ethics of the surveyors in the exercise of the profession.
Acquaintance with the professional workplace, ability to situate it in relation to related specialist fields
The student knows the national / international professional associations and can outline the organization of the profession in Belgium in a historical context
Carry out a study, design and develop a space, including the provision of guidance during the implementation, with due consideration for the environment and safety.
The student can take into account, when designing plans, with the legal easements and the regulatory concerning the relevant public domain
The student can give an overview of the different legal status of roads and waterways and the various administrations of the public domain, and categorize their competence.
Communicate well and clearly in a commercial manner (including reporting) with (potential) customers and the ability to express themselves in a professional context in different languages.
The student can use specific real estate language
Document, analyse and manage in all its facets a technical-administrative-legal dossier relating to a land-surveying object on their own.
The student can collect the necessary data and analyze legal documents and plans in function of the demarcation of the land.
Set up, organise and run a real estate office / land-surveying office on their own.
The student can apply the law and implementing decrees to protection of the title and profession of the surveyor into the exercise of the profession ..
