Learning outcomes (list)

Collect, analyse and apply urban development information in a spatial context
The student can read, explain and understand the content of the regional plan, general plans of construction, special plans of construction and spatial structure plans, in particular the Spatial Structure Plan Flanders, and understand its consequences on the environment and real estate.
The student can look up, interpret and apply the urban planning status of a property to real estate.
The student can explain the growth and development of cities and municipalities over the centuries and can look up and interpret historical maps.
The student can give the most important steps of the realization of the Flemish spatial policy and its historical background.
The student can apply the influence on spatial policy and planning from other sectors and the associated sectoral legislation.
The student can explain the current events and evolution of spatial policy in Flanders with in particular the Flanders Spatial Policy Plan and take a critical attitude about this.
Communicate well and clearly in a commercial manner (including reporting) with (potential) customers and the ability to express themselves in a professional context in different languages.
The student can use specific real estate language
