Learning outcomes (list)

Interpret and apply job-related rules and regulations, relating, in particular to: civil and judicial law, building and real estate law, environmental law, town and country planning law, tax law, ... and to advise on these in a meaningful manner.
The student can list the types of rental of goods and indicate the differences
The student can define the contract and explain its importance
The student can situate tenancy law within the Belgian law
The student can discuss the scope of the landlease
Give specific advice and carry out expert assessments.
The student is able to discuss the duration and termination of the lease and illustrate with examples
The student is able to discuss the obligations of the tenant and the landlord and explain this with examples
The student is able to give an overview of the consequences of the alienation of the rented property
The student can discuss the differences between sublease and lease transfer and illustrate this with examples
The student knows which rental type applies and can substantiate this in concrete situations
Communicate well and clearly in a commercial manner (including reporting) with (potential) customers and the ability to express themselves in a professional context in different languages.
The student can use specific real estate language
Mediate on behalf of third parties in a sale, purchase, exchange, lease or transfer of real estate, real estate rights or commercial firms.
The student can analyze the different rental systems and apply them on cases
The student can draw up a correct rental contract and interpret the consequences in concrete situations.
Correctly compile and adapt real estate agreements in a legally correct manner, fulfil the concomitant administrative formalities and carry out financial transactions, independently.
The student can distinguish and compare the different possible rental types
