Learning outcomes (list)

Apply job-related ICT applications and use standard software, multimedia and communication tools in the workplace.
Students can, by use of specific software, design a road (floor plan, longitudinal profile (type) cross section), develop the necessary plans and calculate the volumes
Carry out a study, design and develop a space, including the provision of guidance during the implementation, with due consideration for the environment and safety.
The student can calculate circular and transition curves concerning the plan and / or longitudinal profile and implement the application modalities of superelevation and curve widening
The student can determine the building class of a road and implement the practical applications in the preparation of a road design.
The student can apply the substantive and formal requirements for the preparation of a road design
The student can define the various design parameters of the roadline.
The student can describe the different sewer systems and their various components and peripheral equipment.
The student can describe the different stages of the planning phase, before starting the road design
The student can describe the various types of intersections, connections and speed reduction measures and implement them into the design.
The student can dimension a simple sewer system and calculate the necessary capacity concerning delayed drainage of rainwater, buffering and infiltration
Communicate well and clearly in a commercial manner (including reporting) with (potential) customers and the ability to express themselves in a professional context in different languages.
