Learning outcomes (list)

Collect, analyse and apply urban development information in a spatial context
The student can interpret the instruments of spatial planning in the Brussels-Capital Region and in the Walloon Region and relate them to permits.
The student knows the different types of environmental procedure and can check which actions, works and changes require a permit, a notification obligation or are exempt from a permit.
The student can explain the procedures for applying for an environmental permit.
The student can interpret and estimate the assessment of an environmental permit application against the applicable regulations and good spatial planning.
The student can name the consequences and the assessment of the urban designation and associated regulations on real estate and explain the consequences of this on a permit application.
The student can use the information obligations provided for in the VCRO in concrete situations.
The student can frame the enforcement policies provided in the VCRO.
The student can explain what a city planning violation is, what the consequences may be if convicted, and what the consequences of judgments are if property is transferred.
The student can interpret the role of the municipality, the environmental officer, Gecoro and the environmental counter in environmental permit applications and enforcement policies.
The student can explain the objectives of the permits and plans registry.
Communicate well and clearly in a commercial manner (including reporting) with (potential) customers and the ability to express themselves in a professional context in different languages.
