Learning outcomes (list)

Apply job-related ICT applications and use standard software, multimedia and communication tools in the workplace.
The student can apply the approximate adjustment methods for triangulation manually and using a spreadsheet on a single triangle, square measurement, chain of triangles and triangulationnetwork.
Communicate well and clearly in a commercial manner (including reporting) with (potential) customers and the ability to express themselves in a professional context in different languages.
The student can use specific real estate language
Independently select and apply land-surveying measuring techniques, wtih an eye for detail, accuracy and reliability, and subsequently process the measuring data. Collect, interpret and process information by means of land information systems and geographical information systems. Ability to process land data numerically and graphically and make legal and administrative references.
The student can convert two or more local measurements to one global coordinate system.
The student can define a specific tolerance for a traverse closure from a set of theoretical assumptions.
The student can describe the sources of error in a traverse and enumerating ways to eliminate or reduce these errors to a minimum.
The student can calculate various incisions, connections and geometrical problems (backward incision, Hanssen, Marek, incision with measured basis, ...) manually or in a spreadsheet; he can outline their sources of error and list the ways to eliminate them in practice or reduce them to a minimum
The student can formulate statements about the accuracy of calculations and measurements based on the parameters supplied by statistical software.
The student can clear a traverse and perform a proper statistical adjustment in a point where several traverses intersect.
The student can design a basis for detailed measurement, clear it and connect it to an imposed reference system.
The student can process the exported digital measurement data from a total station into easily usable data in a spreadsheet.
