Learning outcomes (list)

Interpret and apply job-related rules and regulations, relating, in particular to: civil and judicial law, building and real estate law, environmental law, town and country planning law, tax law, ... and to advise on these in a meaningful manner.
The student can look up INSPIRE, European and Flemish regulations and guidelines on GIS and GDI and use and interpret them correctly.
The student can collect, interpret and critically evaluate geodata and information layers.
Apply job-related ICT applications and use standard software, multimedia and communication tools in the workplace.
The student is able to conduct a project-driven digital analysis of the environment using a GIS software.
The student is able to communicate the result of a spatial problem to others in an unmistakable, contemporary output.
Give specific advice and carry out expert assessments.
The student is able to correctly interpret the results of an environmental analysis and independently arrive at competent decision-making.
Under supervision, study a job-related research question and formulate a structured and well-founded response. This entails collecting specific relevant information, processing, interpreting it, drawing up a report, as well as presenting.
The student is able to independently perform simple spatial GIS analyses and communicate the results to third parties in a correct and appropriate manner.
Communicate well and clearly in a commercial manner (including reporting) with (potential) customers and the ability to express themselves in a professional context in different languages.
The student can use specific real estate language
The student is able to clearly and professionally communicate and document the result of an environmental analysis to third parties
Independently document, analyse and manage a real estate dossier in all its facets: architecturally, financially, from a taxation point of view, economically and legally.
The student is able to search for, store, analyze, and present open data in an unmistakable output.
The student can create and use databases to manage geodata in a GIS system.
