Short description

In a globalizing world, very few news topics don't have an international dimension. In this course, we frame and discuss the most salient international news topics, historically and geopolitically. Students will be required to stay up to date on current international news and to be able to put that news into context. To this end, the course will suggest the best sources and media to follow and understand international news topics. Students will also acquire knowledge of the international organisations and institutions that have shaped the world since 1945. They will also be encouraged to use AI-tools such as ChatGPT to broaden their understanding of the contexts of international news topics.
The content of the course will partly depend on the international events of the day.
