Course content

Basic technical skills and graphic processing

You will develop a basic technical knowledge of computers, peripheral equipment and graphic programmes. You will learn how these programmes work and what they are used for. You will start scanning and printing images and learn how to process images and text digitally. Based on your own ideas, mood images and workbook, you will work step by step towards a more finished visual presentation. You will combine manual techniques with digital applications.

Assignment 1 – First semester: Colour cards

In the first semester, you will process visual material from the Fashion and Textile Prognosis classes into two graphic booklets, known as Colour Cards. You will translate your images in a creative way, using a mix of manual and digital techniques.

Assignment 2 – Second semester: Collection book

In the second semester, you will work on a personal collection book. Based on the Fashion Design classes, you will draw a collection that you will present in book form. In this book, you will show your concept, atmosphere and preliminary research. Your personality, creativity and artistic approach are central. You will develop the silhouettes you create both digitally and in print and present them in a professional manner.
