Prerequisites

previously registered for Fashion design 1 AND previously registered for Coupe 1 AND previously registered for Fashion graphics 1 AND previously registered for Fashion and textile prognosis.

Learning outcomes (list)

BA2 - The student has the necessary knowledge, skills and insights regarding material, form, action, concepts, function and contents of the chosen medi
The student recognizes the importance of fashion drawing as a form of graphic communication.
BA4 - The student develops and sharpens his/her critical and investigative attitude towards designs and/or realizations that arise from visual experiments and research, emotion and intuition.
The student is able to conduct a detailed graphic examination of his / her chosen historical costume
The student is able to investigate and develop the individual graphic qualities.
The student is able to conduct an in-depth research concerning perception and representation.
The student is able to conduct research concerning the creation process (from sketch to drawing to design).
BA5 - When developing his/her personal visual language the students starts from a searching and reflective attitude when developing one's own visual language.
The student can discuss and enrich dozens of examples with a personal approach and can apply this insight to his own situation.
The student is able to choose images in a conscious manner in order to develop further his own visual language, as a basis for developing his / her collection.
The student further developed his personal approach in his pictorial expression
BA7 - The student is able to organize his/her artistic project in consultation with others.
The student can carry out assignments at different speeds (short and long term) and is able to meet a deadline.

Course content

-Historical under-layer painting- required technique: Acrylic
the educational parameter: use of acrylic, garment depiction and human proportion + learning how to work in a collective space

-Group discussion of artistic personal portrait and first collection A1 atmosphere drawing
the educational parameter: capacity for critical thinking and communicating artistic intention to a group

-Drawing of the Atmosphere for the collection
the educational parameter: artistic expression and learning how to work in a collective space

-Feedback first semester- One on one discussion of Historical Working book and presentation

-Feedback second semester- One on One discussion of collection

-Historical workbook: the 4 atmosphere drawings, graphically aware depictions of the process, and interesting personal take on the chosen costume

-Finished Historical presentation book including: A photoshoot of the historical costume and a graphically relevant selection from the workbook

-Collection installation: The installation as a educational parameter should show the capacity of the student to use the space as a tool of artistic expression and communication for their collection, attention to detail and capacity for curation are also being observed.

-Final presentation of collection that includes: a photoshoot, a properly drawn lineup (front and back) process, and atmosphere. This presentation should show the student's graphic, curational and communication capacities.

Evaluation (text)

Continuous assessment through presentations and review moments throughout the academic year. The student's attendance and active participation is required for this course. In case of justified absence, notify the lecturer by mail and from the third absence onwards, you must submit a valid certificate via the absence monitor in iBaMaFlex.

Semester 1: an initial formative evaluation takes place at the end of the first semester.
Semester 2: a final jury evaluation takes place at the end of the second semester.

Process and product are inseparably linked and are evaluated as a whole.
The final assessment of both process and product is determined 100% during the final jury at the end of semester 2.
