Course content

This course provides fundamental knowledge about medium-specific raw materials and fibres, textile structures and processing and finishing techniques, including the associated production processes. It also offers insight into recent innovations, current material developments and future trends within the field. Furthermore, the course provides insight into sustainability issues at all stages of material development. This is done through practical cases that allow students to critically analyse the impact of material choices and processes in relation to ecological and social challenges.
