Course content

The course 'Performance analysis 2' focuses on diverse performing arts such as theatre, dance, musical theatre and Performance Art.

Each show will be discussed from a dramaturgical point of view and from an audience point of view: beforehand we look at material connected to the show, we look at the genre and at the context where it is presented. After watching the show we analyse our own viewing experience and we read potential reviews written about the performance.

Through a viewing, writing and reading trajectory, students are stimulated to engage with the material in a critical, conscious way.
