Learning outcomes (list)

BA1 - The student has the necessary artistic skills to design and/or realize a personal project within the broad spectrum of the visual arts under supervision.
The student can interpret preliminary studies and convert them to a printed image at beginners' level.
BA2 - The student has the necessary knowledge, skills and insights regarding material, form, action, concepts, function and contents of the chosen medi
The student can print and use a printing press. He understands the basic principles of the printing process.
The student can print an edition.
The student can transfer designs and cut on linoleum at beginners' level.
The student can design images at beginners' level in function of creating a lithography.
The student knows and can use the current types of paper, ink, cleaning products.
BA4 - The student develops and sharpens his/her critical and investigative attitude towards designs and/or realizations that arise from visual experiments and research, emotion and intuition.
The student can think compositional at beginners' level.

Course content

By finalizing a number of assignments, the student obtains competences in the use of block print in his artistic oeuvre. The assignments cumulate in difficulty and make use of a widening range of input. Besides technical and artistic learning processes, the student learns to communicate with peers on the created works and becomes accustomed with the terminology and points of attention.
