There are no prerequisites for this course.

Through predetermined assignments, students learn the various basic techniques of intaglio printing. Students go through these assignments throughout the academic year. Explanations and demonstrations are given for each assignment. Students will receive the description of all assignments at the start of the academic year. Failure to complete these assignments as described may jeopardize study progress.By using a large number of small intaglios the student obtains experience in using the etching needle on copperplate. The student walks through the different fases of the etching process and gains experience in all the aspects of intaglio.

Basic materials, Sketchbooks and drawing materials. Art printing papers (available in studio) At the start of the academic year, students will receive a list of materials to be purchased. They should purchase these independently.If the student does not provide the necessary materials, study progress may be compromised.
(lithocrayon no 0 , etching needle, covering varnish, scrape tool, plastic tape, sandpaper, steel wool, varnish, shear knife, lighter, brush, pencils, file, wide soft brush, hard plastic sheet (0,5mm), copper (available in school), rubber gloves!, safety glasses!)

Continuous evaluation based on various show and work moments, concluded with a final evaluation at the end of the academic year. Attendance during contact hours is recommended. Absence may compromise study progress.
