Learning outcomes (list)

BA1 - The student has the necessary artistic skills to design and/or realize a personal project within the broad spectrum of the visual arts under supervision.
The student demonstrates passion and can independently carry out the given assignments and demonstrates.
The student is able to independently realize his aspirations as an autonomous artist / designer both on an artistic, substantive, technical and social level.
The student can realize a site-specific object/intervention (in various materials).
The student can come up with a autonomous project and give shape to it.
The student can independently draw up patterns and apply coupe studies
The student can solve a problem about form, content and technical realization
BA2 - The student has the necessary knowledge, skills and insights regarding material, form, action, concepts, function and contents of the chosen medi
The student has the necessary technical insights and skills.
The student can, if necessary, in addition to formal and practial knowledge, gather information concerning historical, social, sociological aspects.
The student can convert a technical drawing via a pattern to a 3D version.

Course content

Independent research and developing your own visual language are central to the third year of the bachelor's programme. 

Students must be able to freely interpret and design an assignment.
Some social relevance is expected.

Material research is personal and broad, always starting from the student's perspective and supplemented by techniques (provided by the lecturer) tailored to the subject/research.
The concept of costume can be interpreted broadly; the connection to the human body remains.

In-depth study of the manufacture and understanding of custom work; students are able to go through the entire process of taking measurements, creating patterns, toile, technical analysis and problem solving, and the final result.
The development and execution of a design for a bespoke coat, including the necessary inner workings, is part of the curriculum.
